How to Reach Ankara

You can, of course, drive to Ankara, but it will be more expensive than travelling by buses or trains. It takes approximately 5 hours to reach from Istanbul by car.

Buses are quick, convenient and reasonably priced. ASTI (Ankara Şehirlerarası Terminal İşletmeleri - Ankara Intercity Terminal) is the main bus terminal in the city and is connected to Kızılay Square and other metro lines. Turkish State Railways runs all trains in the city. It connects all cities with high-speed trains and takes over 3 hours from Istanbul to reach the city.
