8 Day Tour of Istanbul, Pamukkale, Ephesus and Cappadocia By Plane
This is a fantastic 8-day tour where you will get to see all the sites in the beautiful country of Turkey. You will have a professional guide throughout the tour with flights and accommodation included.
You will see all the main sights in Istanbul including the beautiful Haghia Sophia, the Sultanahmet Imperial Mosque, the Hippodrome where the gladiators once fought, the Topkapi Palace and you will get to shop for all your holiday souvenirs in the biggest covered market in Europe, the Grand Bazaar.
You will then take a half-day Bosphorus Tour which includes a relaxing cruise along the Bosphorus that separates Europe and Asia. You will also get to see Bosphorus Bridge, Camlica Hill and then take in all the aromatic flavours at the Spice Bazaar where you can purchase some to take home with you.
Next, you will go onto to Pamukkale meaning Cotton Castle where it gets its name because of the pure white landscape of the sulphur waters where you can bathe and some say it has healing powers. You will also visit the ruins of Hierapolis with its basilica, theatre and Roman Baths. Swim in the Cleopatra Pool which still has sunken columns (extra charge).
Then you will explore Ephesus and the Temple of Artemis one of the seven wonders of the world. Your guide will show you all the great sites of one of the best-preserved sites in Europe. You will explore the town of Selcuk before going to the House of the Virgin Mary where it is said Mary spent her last and final days.
Visit the mesmerising Cappadocia with its stunning landscape of the Fairy Chimneys, rock formations and the underground city which is a labyrinth of houses. You could also choose to do a once in a lifetime hot air balloon (extra charge).

Upon your arrival, we will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your Hotel in the Sultanahmet area for an Overnight stay in Istanbul
Get picked up from your hotel at approximately 08:30 am for a full day tour of the Old City.
On this day you will get to see: Hagia Sophia, Byzantium largest cathedral that was converted to a mosque by the Ottoman Empire in 1453 and today open as a museum.
See the Sultanahmet Imperial Mosque containing Istanbul’s only mosque with six minarets built by Sedefkar Mehmet Aga for Sultan Ahmed 1st.
Then go to the early 17th-century Hippodrome, Center of sports activities and political events of the Eastern Roman Empire.
Visit the Grand Bazaar, which is a famous shopping centre worldwide. Shopping possibilities for carpets, jewellery, leather etc.
Finally, go to the Topkapi Palace which was built between 1475 and 1478 by Mehmet II, Fatih, the conqueror of Istanbul, served as the residence of the sultan and administrative seat of the Ottoman Empire for 400 years.
At around 08:30 am, you will be picked up from your hotel for a half-day tour of Two Continents.
Then relax on a Bosphorus Cruise separating the two continents, Asia and Europe. You will have an opportunity to take some fantastic photographs of marble palaces and ancient wooden villas of Ottoman architecture, besides modern residences and luxurious apartments.
See the Bosphorus Bridge, a unique chance to go from one continent (Asia) to another (Europe) in two minutes.
See Camlica Hill that offers a panoramic view of Istanbul and Bosphorus from the highest point of the city.
At approximately 08:30 am, you will be picked up from your hotel for a full day tour of Pamukkale and Hierapolis.
In Pamukkale, you will see the stunning Cotton Cliffs, one of the natural wonders of the world formed by deposits of calcareous salts.
Also visit the ancient ruins of the City of Hierapolis with its basilica, theatre and Roman Baths.
After the tour ends, you will then be transferred to your hotel at around 19:00 for an overnight stay in Kusadasi.
After breakfast at approximately 08:30 am depart for a full day tour of Ephesus.
First, you will go to the Temple of Artemis, once one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. Next visit the world famous ancient Greco-Roman City of Ephesus, one of the most well-preserved examples in the world.
After you have seen this impressive site, you will have a lunch break before visiting the House of Virgin Mary, where it is said Mary spent her last and final days. This is a holy place for both Muslims and Christians.
After the tour, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Kayseri for an overnight stay in Cappadocia.
In this day you will visit:
Devrent Valley which is situated on the northern slopes of Aktepe and about 1km from Pasabaglari known as Monks’ Valley and roughly 5 km from Avanos. The ruins at Devrent are over three valleys, which also house pointed fairy chimneys with large stems. Pasabag, the Pasha’s Vineyard, is surrounded by some incredible natural rock formations which makes it a spectacular scene.
Avanos which is a centre of terra cotta work of art since around 3000 BC, and is a town where you will be able to visit a traditional pottery workshop, set deep into the hillsides. The clay, coming from the Red River that passes through the town, gives life both to the land and to the local economy.
Uchisar which is a troglodyte town situated right in the middle of Cappadocia. It is named after the large piece of rock in the centre of the town, that was once used as a castle. This unique rock is the highest peak of the area with the view of whole Cappadocia and Erciyes (Argeus).
You will be collected from the hotel for an exciting full day tour of South Cappadocia.
You will be able to see:
Kizilcukur, an isolated valley behind Urgup with beautiful rock formations and some great hidden rock-carved churches. The most exciting part of this area is the many tracks that connect the small towns and villages through vineyards and gardens like a spiders web. It is usually possible to see villagers working in the area and offering you grapes, apples or apricots.
One of the oldest settlements of the Cappadocia area is Cavusin and situated approximately 2km from Goreme. Visit the Church of the baptist St.John that also offers a beautiful panoramic view of the village and its paintings that date back to the 5th century, making it the oldest church in this region. It once had a large courtyard which is unusual for Cappadocia but has now eroded.
Underground City, one of the largest and deepest of the 40 others in Cappadocia. They both have eight floors, although not all are open to the public.
Visit the pigeon houses and rock formations.
After breakfast check out from hotel (before 12:00), transfer to Istanbul Ataturk Airport depending on your flight details. If you would like, you can extend your trip by adding extra nights in Istanbul. Please advise us if you would like to add any other tours on to your holiday.
